Cleansers and your Skin

pH is the measurement of Acidity in your skin:

  1. pH 1-6 is Acidic
  2. pH 7 is Neutral
  3. pH 8-14 is Alkaline

Your skin is mildly acidic, which helps it ward off the advances of harmful bacteria and toxins. The optimal pH of human skin is pH 4.5 - 5.5.

  1. Many cleansers on the market have a particularly high pH level which makes them too Alkaline for the skin.
  2. Washing the skin with alkaline soaps or cleansers (pH 10-12) strips away the natural acidity of your skin and also the skin’s natural oils. They work in opposition to the skin's natural chemistry and leave your skin feeling dry and tight. This exposes skin not only to bacteria but also the chances of triggering eczema, acne, dehydration and pre-mature ageing.
We only use natural mild surfactants in our Cleansers

Sulphate-based surfactants are a group of detergents used in main stream cleansing products. The most commonly used sulphate is Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), a harsh petroleum based surfactant. It is a known fact that harsh surfactants in cleansers cause damage to the proteins and oils in our skin which leads to excessive dryness and irritation. Mild surfactants have similar cleansing properties however; do not cause disruption to these natural protective oils and proteins.

Sulphate-based surfactants in cleansers to avoid (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate, Ammonium Laureth Sulphate).

INGREDIENTS: Distilled Water, Rosa Damascena (Pure Rose) Flower Distillate, Lauryl Glucoside (coconut derived), Glycerine, Decyl Glucoside (coconut derived), L-Lactic Acid, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Morus Alba (Mulberry) Extract, Rosa Damasena (Bulgarian Rose) Oil, Helichrysum Italicum (Immortelle) Oil.

Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Distillate: Hydrating, refreshing and antioxidant propeties. Cleanses tones, rejuvenates and softens skin. Gentle antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties. Soothes redness and irritation.

L-Lactic Acid: Lactic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) and is also a component of your skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF). It is the AHA of choice for increasing the skin’s natural moisturising content. This Lactic Acid is produced as natural L-Lactic Acid by the fermentation of Glucose.

Mulberry Extract: Provides powerful skin brightening and antioxidant effects.

Rosa Damasena (Bulgarian Rose) Oil: An exquisite oil with the complexity of over 300 active elements. Pure Rose Oil has the highest frequency of all Essential Oils.

Helichrysum Italicum (Immortelle): A high frequency and powerful skin regenerating oil used for scar and tissue healing.

Directions of Use
  1. Apply a small amount of cleansing gel over dampened skin
  2. Massage gently for a minute
  3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water
  4. Follow with ACTIVE Serum + Moisturising Oil
  5. Use morning and night
