Niacinamide: Anti-inflammatory and extremely hydrating, Niacinamide is clinically proven to provide a broad array of improvements in the appearance of facial skin such as a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, red blotchiness and skin irritation. Niacinamide is an excellent skin brightening active, antioxidant and is effective in alleviating symptoms of mild to moderate acne.
Pure Aloe Vera: Contains essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Soothing, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties.
Salicin (Willowbark Extract): Used medicinally for thousands of years, the active ingredient in Willow bark is Salicin which is used to produce synthetic Salicylic Acid. Salicin is clinically proven to be effective against acne-causing bacteria and is a potent antioxidant which helps calm redness. Clinical studies also show significant improvement in hyper-pigmentation and skin firmness.
Hyaluronic Acid (<5 kDa): The Gold standard in skin hydration. In clinical studies Low weight HA (<5kDa) was associated with significant reduction of wrinkle depth, due to better penetration abilities. When applied to skin it significantly boosts skin elasticity & hydration in the deeper (dermal) layers. (This is the smallest molecular weight available for maximum penetration).
Alpha Bisabolol: (Naturally derived) Clinically proven to accelerate the healing process of the skin. Anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant and anti-bacterial properties. Calms and soothes sensitive skin. Helps administer active ingredients transdermally by enhancing skin penetration.
Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary Leaf) Extract: A medicinal botanical extract with potent antioxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. (Reduces bacterial inflammation linked to acne). Its powerful astringent properties help to effectively reduce excess sebum as well as purify, refresh and rejuvenate skin.
Matricaria Chamomilla (Blue Chamomile) Oil: A high frequency and highly regenerative purified, blue oil which exhibits powerful anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant benefits. It has an extraordinary cooling effect that immediately calms & soothes the skin.
Helichrysum Italicum (Immortelle) Oil: A high frequency and powerful skin regenerating oil used for scar and tissue healing.
- Apply serum to slightly dampened skin directly after cleansing with warm water.
- Water makes the skin more permeable which is why a serum will penetrate better after cleansing.
The increased temperature of the skin will also help increase the penetration of active ingredients.
- Apply a moisturising oil over the top of the serum to seal in actives and prevent water loss.
- Use once or twice a day.

WHAT IS ACNE?
Acne is a skin condition caused by the disorder of the Pilosebaceous Unit (hair follicle + sebaceous gland). It is often present in areas with a high concentration of sebaceous glands such as the face, chest and back.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN CAUSES OF ACNE?
Acne is generally caused by a number of internal factors:
- Excess sebum production produced by the sebaceous glands.
- Dehydrated Skin (one of the most common causes)
Many Acne products tend to have a drying effect on the skin. As skin becomes dryer, it may react by producing more oil, which then will create acne once again. Dehydration is a major concern for Acne prone skin which is why it is extremely important to keep this skin type Hydrated and Moisturised. The more hydrated the skin, the less oil is produced.
- Hyper-keratinisation (when keratin blocks dead skin cells from naturally shedding).
The outer layer of your skin contains the protective protein called keratin. When keratin blocks the sebaceous gland, the over production of sebum blocks the sebaceous duct. This subsequently produces Inflammation and is a breeding ground for Bacteria. When inflammation reaches deep into the skin, an acne cyst forms. This is the most severe type of acne.
- Hormones - Our bodies make more sebum when our hormones surge.
Other factors which may exacerbate acne can include stress, diet and a weakened immune system due to various illnesses.
